Healthy body healthy mind
Finding balance in all aspects of your being
26th August - 2nd September, 2023
A healthy relaxed state of mind starts with a healthy body and the other way around. In this retreat you will find a balance between physical and soulful activities that rejuvenate the body, mind and the soul.

Living a fast paced modern lifestyle takes a toll on our bodies and mental health. In order to find balance we need to slow down and look inward and answer our body's needs.

What to expect
Energising morning yoga and meditation. With the help of yoga and conscious breath we can release tension from the body so the energy could move freely. A grounding spiritual practice first thing in the morning sets the mood for the rest of the day and creates healthy habits.
Somatic body movement. Somatic movement is awareness or presence during movement, and being connected in your body. Somatic Movement Therapy gives you the tools you need to access wisdom stored in your body. A somatic movement is made with focus on the internal movement instead of on the external movement.
Internal movement is very different from most physical or exercise training. Because his internal way of moving builds your interoception (self sensing) it helps you feel good. If you find your mind is cut off from your body. As a result you can feel ungrounded, anxious, out of control or even depressed. In fact, when humans worry or are overactive mentally we often get digestive upsets, high blood pressure, tense muscles, headaches or just feel spacey.

Laughter yoga. Laughter Yoga is an exercise program developed by Indian physician Dr Madan Kataria where anyone can laugh without relying on humour, jokes or comedies.
It combines laughter exercises with yoga breathing techniques (Pranayama) which brings more oxygen to our body and brain making us feel more energetic and healthy. And it’s so much fun!
Yin yoga. Yin yoga offers remedies to the stresses of your busy yang life. Each restorative pose targets your deeper fascia and connective tissues, helping you experience increased flexibility and improved joint health.
Yin yoga also focuses on deep breathing and longer hold times, allowing you the time and space to clear your mind and enhance your mental acuity. These meditative poses will help you attain a renewed sense of mindfulness and physical well-being, making them the perfect complement to an active yang lifestyle and helping bring you back into balance.
Sound bath. A sound bath is a meditative experience where those in attendance are “bathed” in sound waves. These waves are produced by various sources, including healing instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, percussion, chimes, rattles, tuning forks, and even the human voice itself. The general intention of a sound bath is to create a state of harmony in the listener by using sound to clear discordance from the participants' energy fields. Among the benefits are relaxation, an increased sense of wellbeing and expanded awareness.
Themed Cacao ceremonies are a safe, nourishing environment to connect with yourself, the spirit of cacao, and other people in deeper ways than one can usually access when by yourself.
The group will be led through a cacao blessing. The facilitator will be guiding through various exercises and experiences based on the intentions of the event. Some examples of guided experiences are: guided meditations, sound journeys, dance and movement practices, and partner exercises.
Aromatherapy session. Did you ever get waves of pleasure from smelling a fragrant flower? The olfactory nerve is the fastest gateway to the brain, and strong producer of endorphins, sense memory, and feelings of wellbeing. Using various smells we will dive into our subconscious mind and access our long forgotten memories.
Su Jok. Su Jok is a treatment system comprised of a variety of techniques that prevent and cure illness and restore health without any drugs. Our hands (“su” in Korean) and feet (“jok”) represent our entire body in miniature. In fact, they represent a smaller, but nevertheless true, mirror image of the whole body (for example, the thumbs and big toes represent the head). The same way we use a remote control to operate a television, we can use our hands and feet to influence our whole body and cure disease. By understanding the exact similarities between various parts of the body and the hands and feet, one can influence any place or problem using the corresponding Su Jok treatment. The body’s meridian system, with which we perform metaphysical energy manipulation therapies, is also reflected in the hands and feet. Knowledge of the principles of hand and foot therapy provides an impressive vehicle for personal and family healthcare.
